Now this isn’t going to be a long drawn out letter because let’s face the facts I am a Muslim and I’ve got some suicide bombing to do and Sharia law to implement, but I felt it important enough to ponder this phrase “All-American.” What is it supposed to mean anyway? Who were the first American settlers and why did they settle here in the first place?
Two words people, religious intolerance. They were being persecuted by the Church of England and the Roman Catholics for their beliefs in Lutheran and other reforms of the church. They suggested (gasp) that everyone should be allowed to read the Bible and that you could not pay your way into heaven through things like indulgences. Our forefathers came here for religious freedom….OH THE IRONY! That is what being All-American is about, being able to believe in your OWN beliefs. Otherwise you belong with the Taliban.
See I’ve got to laugh at it all because it is just too funny that these people are offended by the idea that there could be an All-American Muslim. I agree this reality show may not represent all of the colors of Islam, but neither does the series “The Real Housewives” because those ladies are anything but Real or Housewives! It is a very rare opportunity for people to see Muslims as people and judging by all of the crazy commentary about the Lowes thing, we need that! We need to be humanized because it is getting to the point that some commentary sounds straight up NAZI propaganda level and that’s not cool. We were the heros in that situation, disgusted and willed forward by the inhumane treatment of the Jews. It is an awful & dark piece of history, let’s not be doomed to revisit it. REMEMBER. Google the Holocaust right now. As a side note for all of you conspiracy theorists who want to be ignorant and debate the number of people lost in that horrific event, let the dead rest in peace, no matter their number and show some respect!
As for you Lowes, what can I say? I probably wouldn’t have shopped at your store anyways, what with being busy raising my ten kids to be the next generation of Islamic extremists and surviving the beatings from my husband who thank God I only see one day a week because he has three other wives, but now I definitely won’t. Ironic that you are the “home improvement store” that has just made “home” a little less homey. Yeah, I said it. I’m American, I’m Muslim & this is my home. Get over it or get out!
